Forever Stories Elephant
A weary herd of elephants, trudges lazily along a dusty, well-worn path
Back from the watering hole after a frolicking, playful, cooling bath .
Unhurried, undisturbed, by the dust-settling, earthy scented, evening rain
As the sinking sun, for its final curtain call, settles on the African Plain
For yet another day, the largest land animal, leads its tribe members
The hunter’s noisy helicopters blades, that trauma she vividly remembers
Let’s save our ellies from butchering poachers and greedy ivory traders
Protect our beautiful bushveld, from these cunning, unscrupulous invaders .
